On a beautiful day in Wairoa, the Business Networking Wairoa event proved to be a resounding success, bringing together people and businesses from all around the region. The gathering took place at Wairoa Memorial Hall, providing the perfect backdrop for meaningful connections and valuable discussions.

The event began with a warm welcome from Sam, a familiar face from the Wairoa Star, who set the tone for the day. He greeted attendees with genuine enthusiasm, fostering an atmosphere of camaraderie and collaboration right from the start.

Karla Lee, the esteemed CEO of the Hawke's Bay Chamber of Commerce, graced the stage next, emphasizing the essential relationship between Wairoa, Hastings, Napier, and all of Hawke's Bay. Her words echoed the sentiment of unity and the collective strength that comes from businesses supporting one another.

Mayor Craig Little also addressed the audience, underscoring the crucial role played by the business community in driving growth and prosperity in Wairoa.

One of the highlights of the event was Jessica Aguilar, the event coordinator for the chamber, who provided valuable information about the upcoming Hawke's Bay Business Awards. She encouraged all present to apply, highlighting how participating in these awards offered businesses a unique opportunity to evaluate their performance from a fresh perspective.

Jeremy Harker, CEO of QRS, a company that had earned the prestigious Supreme Award at the Business Awards in 2020, shared their inspiring journey of entering and ultimately winning the award. Their success story served as motivation for all businesses present, encouraging them to put themselves forward for recognition.

Thank you to both the The Wairoa District Council and QRS for their invaluable support in making the event a resounding success. Without their contributions, the gathering would not have been possible.

As the event drew to a close, attendees left with a sense of fulfillment and excitement, eagerly anticipating the next Business Networking Wairoa event. The connections made and knowledge shared during the day had undoubtedly laid the groundwork for future collaborations and business growth in the region. The event showcased the welcoming and collaborative spirit of Wairoa, which nurtures a vibrant business community that works together for mutual success.
