COVID-19 Protection Framework & the Hawke’s Bay Chamber of Commerce

From 3rd December 2021, we will be operating under the Orange setting of the new COVID-19 Protection Framework (traffic lights).

Hawke’s Bay Chamber of Commerce has developed a new policy under these new guidelines. Therefore, we will ask that you adhere to the following requirements:

  • Provide proof of full vaccination (My Vaccine Pass)
  • Face coverings are to be worn in public areas
  • Scan QR code or complete manual contact tracing form upon entry
  • Sign in using tablets provided

We understand that these new rules may be difficult for some members of our community; if you cannot meet the new requirements, please get in touch, and we will find a solution.

Events at Orange

Hawke’s Bay Chamber of Commerce will continue hosting events as we always have, however, we have introduced vaccination entry requirements under the NZ Government’s new COVID-19 Protection Framework.

Introducing Vaccine Pass requirements for events will provide certainty, allowing us to continue hosting events rather than needing to cancel or postpone due to the changing environment.

Under the Protection Framework, face coverings are recommended for events, and we will leave this up to your personal choice.

All attendees must scan in upon entry using the supplied QR Code.

Meetings and Engagements at Orange

Any visitors to the Chamber office at the Hawke’s Bay Business Hub must be fully vaccinated.

For meetings offsite, including in local businesses, Chamber staff can decide how they wish to engage with our community.

At businesses where a vaccine pass is not required, our staff may choose alternative measures (such as meeting at another venue where vaccine passes are required, meeting virtually, or postponing until ‘green’). In the interests of health and safety, the Chamber will fully support their decision.

This situation is constantly evolving. Our policies and procedures will be updated as needed to ensure we are balancing the needs of our community and the health & safety of our team.

We appreciate your support in navigating these changes with us. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us on 06 876 5938 or support@hbchamber.nz
